ChildSafe Information Sessions

Monday, 8 August 2016

In January 2017, new legal ‘child safe’ standards come into effect for all community organisations, including churches, governing their work with children and young people.  Leaders and Boards are responsible to ensure their organisations comply with these new standards. Many of our churches utilise the program ChildSafe, the costs of which are covered by Churches of Christ Insurance.

Scripture Union Victoria and ChildSafe Ltd invite you to attend a free information session to help you to know and action your leadership responsibilities in child safety management. Lewis Holdway Lawyers, well qualified in this area, will assist in the presentation and in answering your questions.

The sessions will cover:

  • Explain the impending Victorian ‘child safe’ legal standards and your duty of care as leaders
  • Provide practical ways to evaluate and improve your church’s current child safety management
  • Respond to your questions and concerns.

Please contact Elliott Lauder at ChildSafe now to reserve your seat at least 3 days prior to the session
