In August 2003, I commenced as Executive Officer of Churches of Christ in Vic/Tas. I am now well into my third five-year term... How time flies! And, what an amazing privilege to be in the conversation in this way.
At last Saturday’s CCVT Inc AGM, the Board and I announced that I will be concluding as EO at the end of 2017, some seven months earlier than our current agreement.
After several healthy conversations, and for a range of reasons, this is the best time for this transition—both for CCVT, and for Amanda and I. The CCVT board have already begun an appropriate succession transition process.
I share with the Board an excitement for all that is ahead in CCVT's next season; and Amanda and I are equally excited about what we together may be able to contribute to our movement going forward, albeit at a somewhat slower pace than currently.
So, roll on 2018!
In the meantime there are several significant projects to be completed in 2017, including the Affinity:2 Regional Conversations and the review and revision of several policies and processes that will provide a nice 'book end' to my time in the role.
Your prayers for all involved in this time of transition would be valued.
—Paul Cameron, CCVT EO.
