Stirling Principal Andrew Menzies and CCVT EO Paul Cameron visited Indonesia in February. The visit included time in Jogjakarta with Paulus Trimanto Wibowo (national coordinator of Churches of Christ/Christian Churches in Indonesia), and teaching a class of student church planters in Salatiga (25 plus students; all young, both women and men) as well as meeting with ‘conference’ (or ‘Lemkersa’) leaders and college staff there, in group and one-on-one settings. Paul also had conversations with Gideon Tanbunaan at our college and mission agency in Bandung, and with Marsono and Wemmy Moelyono about their ministry at Bandung Theological Seminary and beyond. Paul also spent a Sunday spent with ‘The Cause’, a church plant in Jakarta sponsored by CCVT affiliate Melbourne Praise Centre. This is an impressive community of more or less 150 young adults/young couples, many who are alumni of Australian education experiences.
