We are pleased to announce the adoption of Affinity:2 as the document that fulfills CCVT Inc Constitution clause 4.2 (a) (iii). Affinity:2 describes the relationship between the CCVT Board and Staff, and Affiliates.
At the SGM on November 11, 165 votes were cast, 98 of which were by proxy, and the motion passed with 90%, well in excess of the required simple majority of more than 50%.
We would like to thank all participants in the conversations that have taken place over the previous months and years for the ways your input has shaped the final Affinity:2 document.
Affinity:2 is now available for download on the CCVT website, and replaces the existing Affinity document as of 11.11.2017.
Change Made During SGM
One addition was made to the Affinity:2 document, proposed for consideration at the SGM. In response to requests for greater clarity of Affiliates Action Steps 22 and 23, Delegates approved the addition of text to Appendix 2—Guidelines. The added text can be found on page 13 of the Affinity:2 document, under the title 'Intentional Conversations'.
Other documents are available from CCVT to give shape and support to the outworking of building Communities of Hope and Compassion and developing Leaders to lead them. Some of these documents are referenced directly in Affinity:2, others are part of the ecosystem of CCVT's procedures and processes based on policies.
All these documents are available at churchesofchrist.org.au. We encourage you to explore the documents available there, and use the search bar (top right hand corner of the screen) to find documents that you cannot immediately locate.
