Foothills Community Care Inc | Committee of Management Members

Wednesday, 23 September 2020

Foothills Community Care Inc (Foothills) is a charitable organisation registered with the ACNC that provides food and community to those in our local community facing difficulties, hardship and crisis. Since 2002 Foothills has been working in and around the Dandenong Ranges and Knox areas to provide meals, hospitality and a place where people can feel safe, valued and loved. Some of the ways we connect with people include:

  • Community Meals nights
  • Community Casseroles
  • Domestic Violence Peer Support
  • Christmas Day Lunch
  • Citizenship Suppers
  • Boarding House Outreach

In 2020 to date, over 200 volunteers have served over 18,000 meals and rescued over 25 tonnes of food. The work Foothills does in the local community is driven by a network of volunteers, donors and supporters alongside our CEO and small staff team.

All of this is overseen by a Committee of Management who work to ensure the key mission and strategic objectives of the organisation are carried out and that Foothills complies with Australian Government regularity requirements for not for profit charities.

We are currently seeking people who support the ethos of the organisation to volunteer on the Committee of Management. At this stage, we are specifically looking for people with at least one of the following skills sets:

  • Financial,
  • Human resources or secretarial (organisational).

We are also happy to receive expressions of interest from people are interested in developing these skills.
