The National Redress Scheme provides acknowledgement and support to people who experienced institutional child sexual abuse. It was created by the Australian Government in response to recommendations by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The decision to join the CCVT Participating Group is made by passing resolutions at the appropriate governance or leadership meeting applicable to your church or agency (e.g. members meeting, board meeting, leadership team meeting, etc). For some Affiliates, this may mean scheduling a special meeting so that the completed documentation can be returned before the due date of 28 February 2019.

Below are documents designed to help Affiliates navigate joining the Scheme. The required documents should be returned to CCVT by 28 February 2019.

Please start by dowloading the Guide for Affiliates. It will help frame your engagement with both the process and the other documents.

This is the document by which an Affiliate agrees to join the National Redress Scheme, agrees to be a member of the CCVT Participating Group along with any or all other CCVT Affiliates, agrees to CCVT Inc being the Representative of the Group, and declares it is willing to and capable of providing a direct personal response to a person who accepts an offer of redress (otherwise the CCVT will provide the direct personal response).

The CCVT Group Member Agreement specifies what the CCVT Inc will do as Representative. It also specifies what the Affiliate must do as a Member of the Group.
